Your Guide To Photo Booth Expo
I’m packing my bags and leaving.
Well, not this second but very soon! It’s almost time for Photo Booth Expo (PBX) and that gets me very excited. I love photo booth expo for a few reasons.
- I get to see all my photo booth friends who I speak with daily but we all live in different parts of the world and PBX is the only time I get to see them all at once.
- Seeing all the photo booth stuff in person. There hasn’t been a year yet that I haven’t walked away with some new concept from the trade show floor.
- Eating at all the yummy places in Vegas
- Doing my annual Target shopping spree (We don't have target in Canada)
- Networking and meeting new people or people I only know online.
But for me the best part is getting to teach a class in front of hundreds of photo booth owners. I love it, it’s one of my most favorite things to do. Teaching online is great but in person is just so much better. And guess what… This year I’m the first speaker! Since I’m going first I decided to teach one of my online courses IRL. Unleash Your Reach. This is a course that I normally charge $297 for and everyone who shows up to my class will get access to it for free. I’ll teach it live AND they will get access to the online version too. Not to mention I will also have some other surprises up my sleeve.
If you have a Key Pass you can come for free. Will I see you there??
If you can’t make it I’ll be teaching another class at the Photobooth Supply Co booth on Wednesday at 1:00pm in the Fiesta room. At the very least please come say Hi to me! I’ll be hanging out there most of the time.
If this is your first time going and you need some tips, here are my favs:
- Wear comfortable shoes, forget looking cute. COMFORTABLE is key. Everything in Vegas is at least 5,000 steps away. Don’t be fooled that you can see it.. It’s far.
- Bring layers. The days are usually warm and the nights are stupidly cold, even for this Canadian.
- Plan out the classes you want to attend and put them in your calendar so you don’t forget.
- These are the best days for the trade show based on goals:
- Opening day - If you want to buy a demo or floor model you need to go this day.
- Day 2 - This is the best time to look around and usually when vendors have the most “stuff” happening at their booths like demo’s. The Photobooth Supply Co booth will have demo’s and classes running every hour.
- Day 3 - Usually the least busy day. You can get pretty amazing deals on whatever is left over that vendors don’t want to have to take back lol. This is also the day that people usually give away the most stuff. DNP usually gives a way a printer and Mobi usually has a give away too.
- If you can attend for the full time I would highly recommend it.
For my travelling friends here is a list of my favorite travel things:
- Liquid IV - Hydration is key on planes and in the desert
- Noise cancelling head phones - Have had this pair for over 5 years and they still work like they were brand new. Turn any plane into a calm oasis.
- Bluetooth adapter for headphones - turn any headphones into airplane headphones
- Portable water bottle - Great for the airport and for the trade show floor!
- Phone holder - I like to download my own movies and shoes to my phone but I hate having to look down all the time. This brings your phone to eye level and saves your neck.
- Cleaning Wipes - Planes never get cleaned.... I keep 4 or 5 of these on me at all times
Hope to see you there, more specifically, in my class at 12 on the 19th lol!
