I canceled everything.

We’re always thinking about what we can add.
New strategies. New offers. New tech. New goals.
But rarely do we stop to ask,
“What do I need to let go of?”
Letting go can feel like failure, especially when you’ve poured time, money, energy, and intention into something.
But holding onto what no longer serves your business, just because it used to, doesn’t make you loyal.
It makes you stuck.
Recently, I had something big planned in Tulum, Mexico. It was beautiful. Thought-out. Fully booked and paid for.
But my gut was telling me something I didn’t want to hear.
It didn't feel right.
So I made the call and cancelled the whole thing and released an entire chapter of my business that I was working on this year.
And now I’m spending the next few days in Mexico (because it was non refundable lol) not building, not teaching, not working.
Just thinking.
And I’ll be honest: it’s uncomfortable.
Because when you’ve built your success on doing, the idea of not doing feels like weakness.
But it’s not. It’s wisdom.
Because your brain?
It’s like a room that’s gotten so cluttered with urgency, comparison, and checklists… you can’t even walk through it anymore.
You don’t need more input.
You need processing time.
You need space to hear the voice that gets drowned out when you’re constantly distracted.
That voice is where your best decisions come from. It’s where your next-level growth lives.
If you’ve been running full speed toward a vision that’s starting to feel heavy or forced
Maybe it’s not about quitting.
Maybe it’s just time to think.
To get bored on purpose.
To give your brain the silence it’s been craving.
And if you’re skeptical, you don’t have to take my word for it.
👉 Watch this short video from a Harvard professor on why our brains need boredom to grow.
It might be the sign you didn’t know you were looking for and the good news is that it's really easy to be bored anywhere.
